new player, old game. :)

Hey, all. Not sure how to go about introducing myself, so bear with me as I muddle on through the necessary details.

I'm a relative veteran of role playing; been in the game for ten-odd years, mostly with a talented group of writers known as BTACD. I've run a couple of small forums on the side, but a lot of my involvement slacked off after graduating high school. Currently I'm attending a military academy for my undergraduate, and with a (slightly) more organized schedule, I thought I'd alleviate the boredom and get back into this. Any tips for navigating the site or looking for typical everyday functions would be much appreciated. Also, I'm mainly looking to join role plays for now; I like to get a feel for a forum before I begin putting together my own ideas.
